Can You Be Trusted?

When you write articles they need to be more than just something that people read. Your readers have to be able to hear the voice behind the article. Your writing style.

But even more than that, you need to become someone who your readers can trust. They have to know that your articles will entertain them as well as educate them and that they will be easy to read. No one wants an article that’s difficult to read.

So write simply so that they don’t have to think. Have an easy lead into your subject matter and glide your readers through it with your words.

The late, great copywriter, Eugene Schwartz used to say, “Write to the chimpanzee brain.”

This doesn’t mean to treat your readers like monkeys, but rather that they need you to write your articles simply because they can’t ask questions if there’s anything they don’t understand.

But how can you do this?

Well, it’s actually really easy.

Write quickly. This will stop you from having time to second-guess what you’re saying and it makes your write as you speak which makes your writing so much easier to understand than trying to read something full of big words and complicated phrases.

It really is so simple to write simply.
